What is your favorite movie? Why?

The Squid and the Whale. I am not a big movie person at all, but something about that movie is comfortable. Also, Billy Baldwin is in it and I got meet him several years ago. So I really like watching that movie with other people so I can spout of that fact.

What is your favorite binge worthy show right now?

I have a hard time sitting still and I haven't had a TV in a few years but if I was going to spend 12 hours on the couch with some wine I would pick Desperate Housewives. I have seen that show start to finish and I'm not proud to say this, but I also own a book on the series.

Where are you from? How did you end up in Montana?

Tulsa, Oklahoma. I knew it was time to move but after some plans fell through I wasn't sure where I wanted to go. I am turning 30 this summer and I knew I wanted something completely different. My sister and her husband suggested I come up to Kalispell, where they live. I had never been here before but it just feels right so I packed what I could fit in my car and made the 1700 mile move.

How long have you been working at The Montana Scene?

Since the beginning of April, I got the job here within a week of moving! I saw the Kalispell store front and saw online they were hiring so I turned my resume in. I applied at several places when I got here but as soon as I walked in I knew I wanted this job. I like the vibe here, and felt like I fit in right away. Luckily, the owners agreed and hired me!

What is your favorite book?

I`m going to need to pick two. A Home at the End of the World and Flesh and Blood, both my Michael Cunningham. They both follow a character or characters throughout their life and show their personal and family relationships from both perspectives. That's what I really love about these books, although they are fiction the situations and relationships are very relatable. I would only let myself read a few pages a day as I got toward the end of Flesh and Blood because I wasn't ready to let go of the characters. One of my favorite quotes of all time is from A Home at the End of the World. “Perhaps, in the extravagance of youth, we give away our devotions easily and all but arbitrarily, on the mistaken assumption that we’ll always have more to give.”

If you have to change your name, what would your new name be, and why would you choose that name?
My new name would be Meadow, I feel like it captures my inner hippie. I love being barefoot and being in the sun more than anything and Meadow just seems to fit. Also honestly I love The Sopranos and on the show the main character Tony has a daughter named Meadow.

What is your perfect pizza?
Straight up pepperoni is my favorite. I really only like thin crust pizza, deep dish or thick crust is just not my thing. Sometimes when get pizza I get a little crazy and get alfredo sauce instead of red sauce and let me tell you if you have not tried it you are missing out.

What type of music do you listen to?
I can't really narrow it down to one type. I like so many. I can list a few of my favorite songs.
1. Signed Sealed Delivered- Stevie Wonder
2. Radiohead- All I Need
3. Maggie Rogers- On & Off
4. Sylvan Esso- Radio
5.Beyonce-Hold Up
Much like everything else in my life my music interests are all over the place.

Who is your hero? Why?
Honestly, my dad. I never realized how hard he worked until a few years ago. I just thought working is what dads do. He owns his own business and after his work day is done he comes home and works more but still somehow finds time to spend with me, my mom and my sister. I`ve asked for his help countless times and he has always done it with a smile. He took the time to drive my car up from Oklahoma to Montana so I would not have to do it alone, and that alone makes him my hero!

What is your dream vacation?
Greece has been my dream vacation destination for years. Those white houses along the blue coast are so beautiful. I think I would really enjoy the slower pace of life there. Also I would be lying if I said The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants didn't have something to do with that.  My inner 17 year old that saw that movie is still convinced I would also go there and fall in love with a beautiful Greek man like Alexis Bledel's character does. (I know how cool this makes me sound).

What is the last picture you took on your phone?

The last picture I took on my phone was of Soup Creek. I went out there with my boyfriend the other day, set up a hammock and just chilled. My pictures on my phone are pretty much all nature pictures since I moved up here.

Where are you from and how did you end up in Montana?

I'm originally from Arkansas, but I moved to Montana when I was 6, so I guess you could say I'm from here. We ended up here becuase we could ski in the winters, but my favorite thing to tell people is that my dad wanted to be a cowboy.

Oh my gosh, I want to by EVERYTHING (not much has changed).

I have met the most wonderful people and have made some of the greatest friends that I wouldn't have known without The Montana Scene.

My favorite food to cook is chicken spaghetti and I'm obsessed with Mackenzie River.

Would you ever be on a reality TV show? If so, what??

Ummm yes! Jersey Shore for sure! Maybe The Bachelorette, because who wouldn't want their pick of men?

Who is your hero?

My mom is my hero becuase she was a single mom who worked three jobs and still went back to school to become a nurse to help other peple. She has always amde sure that my brother and I had everything we needed and has always put us first. My mom is the type of person who puts everyone's needs above her own and I think that is so amazing. She is the most selfless person I know and I can only hope to be like her.
