Kalispell

The Kalispell Store

The newest addition was bound to happen. Melissa and Sean, owners of The Montana Scene, currently live in Kalispell and the Warehouse has been in Kalispell for over a year. When the perfect space was found they jumped at the chance to have a bigger warehouse and open the 5th retail space. Melissa and Sean were excited about finally being able to have a retail space at headquarters and be a part of historic downtown Kalispell.

The Montana Scene Kalispell opened November 2017. They are excited to be in a part of Historic Downtown Kalispell and be involved in the community and local events.

The Kalispell Store is open Monday - Friday 9:00am-6pm, Saturday 10am - 5pm & Sunday 11am - 4pm

Similar to Whitefish, Kalispell was founded because of the railroad. The town of Demersville, just south of Kalispell, was around first but became a ghost town with the addition of the railroad. Some of the buildings were moved into where Kalispell stands now. The railroad didn't last long when it moved up to Whitefish in 1904, but Kalispell was already established in the Flathead Valley as the center for trade and the lumber industry. When Glacier National Park was created in 1910 it was named "Gateway to Glacier National Park" which boosted its popularity.

When you go through downtown Kalispell you'll see many historic buildings, including the Adams Building, which is currently where The Montana Scene is located. In 1895 the building was complete and over the years the product inside has change, but the outside of the building has remained the same. When you come into The Montana Scene in Kalispell you'll see the original floors and ceilings - keeping its original charm.
