Fiona Crump- The Montana Scene’s Buyer/Customer Service Representative
How would you describe your day job to a child?
I purchase all the fun products and gifts that you see in our store! Plus I try to help customers with any questions or concerns they may have.
If you could choose one person to meet that you have never met before, who would it be?
Jane Goodall. She’s known for being the first person to study chimpanzees! I started my college career studying wildlife biology and because of her, I wanted to study chimpanzees. She’s my hero.
What is your favorite podcast to listen to?
I love true crime podcasts. A few of my recent favorites are Root of Evil, S-Town, and Minds of Madness.
If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?
A Gorilla, I've always been fascinated by apes. I love how close they seem to us human beings.
What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
Hanging with my kid, Zahara.
Where are you from? (How did you end up in Montana?)
I was born in Scotland and then moved to Salt Lake at a young age. However, I grew up most of my life in Michigan. I spent the majority of my summers in Lakeside because my mom is originally from Montana. My parents eventually retired out here, so I decided I wanted to be closer to family and made the move.
What do you wish other people knew about The Montana Scene?
We are a family business, not only in the fact it's run by a couple but that the workers/employees are like family too.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I am an extreme animal lover and one day I hope to have a full-blown animal farm.
What is your favorite food?
Anything ethnic! Ethiopian food is my all time favorite, but give me Thai, Indian, Japanese...I'm happy!
How long have you worked for The Montana Scene?
I started working here in April of 2018 - so almost 4 years!
What is your dream vacation?
To go to Rwanda, Africa to see the gorillas! It's on my bucket list!
