Hi, I’m Samantha, and I live in Bozeman, Montana. I grew up in a tiny town in Minnesota, but a few years ago I packed up whatever could fit in my car for a life in the mountains; and I haven’t looked back since. I am usually found on a hiking trail, probably with a lot of snacks. If I’m not hiking, I can be found attempting to decorate my house (Pinterest projects, anyone?), shopping, or binge-watching Netflix. Nearly every weekend though, I am running for the mountains: they are my favorite source of relaxation, nature feels like my second home. I’m so thankful every day to live in a state where adventure is literally right outside my door.
At her core, Jaymee Sire is a Montana girl. She lived with her family on a wheat farm and cattle ranch just outside of Belt until the age of 5, before moving into the "big city" of Great Falls. She was a graduate of GFHS, and went onto study broadcasting at Washington State University. From there, she's called Barcelona, San Diego, San Francisco, Connecticut, and now Brooklyn "home." She is an Emmy Award winning sports broadcaster, most recently working for ESPN anchoring the network's flagship show, SportsCenter. She currently serves as the Floor Reporter for Iron Chef Showdown on Food Network. In her spare time, she also writes a food and travel blog called "e is for eat" (eisforeat.com). She has an insatiable thirst for world travel, fancy cheese and bubbles.
Hi, I'm Cassandra up in Whitefish, Montana. I'm originally from the suburbs of Chicago, but during a random summer up in Alaska I discovered mountain culture/seasonal living and couldn't go back. Hiking is my true passion, but set me up by a lake with a hammock and a good book and I'm a happy camper- just being out in nature is all I need. When I'm not hiking, I am seasonally waitressing and testing out my own recipes. On the off-seasons, I travel. Exploring trails in other countries has become a passion of mine. Like we say, life really IS better in the mountains.
I was born and raised in the backwoods of Helena, Montana. Growing up in Helena allowed my family to introduce me to the outdoors at an early age. I spent my youth fishing, wakeboarding and roaming the shores of Canyon Ferry Lake. Winters were spent on the slopes of Great Divide, where I learned to snowboard almost 20 years ago. After going to school for engineering at Montana State University, I moved to Boise, ID to experience life outside of Montana. Idaho couldn’t hold me for long as a few years later I moved to Bend, Oregon to chase deeper pow and bigger trout. It was in Bend that I found my love for photography and splitboarding. After 7 years in Bend, the birth of our daughter made the idea of moving back to Montana a necessity. My wife, Melenie, and I moved back to Bozeman in October 2017 to finally get back to our Montana roots. Having a baby has slowed us down a little bit but we still get out hiking, snowboarding, and fishing as often as we can. Our ideal weekends involve bundling the baby up, grabbing our golden retriever Josey, and heading out for an adventure. When not stomping around the woods I work as an engineer for a research company in Bozeman.
Brooke is an enthusiast of health and conscious living. Her strong interest in alternative medicine and holistic health lead her to become a Life Coach and Motivator. Over the last 5 years Brooke has traveled many places and experienced many different cultures around the world which influenced her to create a career as a Sacred Birthing Doula. She loves surrounding herself with empowering people and helping anyone she can. She also adores nature and disconnecting from the outside world with anything the great outdoors has to offer, including snowboarding, mountain biking, climbing, camping, and so much more! In her more chill time, she enjoys making art, practicing yoga, reading self-empowering books, and writing. Her close friends and family would say she is a “guiding light;” a source of inspiration, sharing her positivity with everyone she meets. Brooke is one of a kind and lives true to her life motto to make every day “The Best Day Ever!”
Callie was born and raised in a small town outside of Portland Oregon, and has a true passion for the outdoors and adventure for as long as she can remember. When life brought Callie to Montana all it took was one trip over the Beartooth Pass and she knew immediately it was the perfect fit. From backpacking and hiking to mountain biking and snowshoeing, she cannot get enough of what adventures Montana has to offer. When she is not on the trails you will usually find Callie on her mat pursuing her other passion, yoga. Callie is a 200hr RYT and is currently teaching at Limber Tree Yoga Studio in Billings.
Hi! My name is Shannon and I live in Missoula, Montana. I'm originally from a small town in New Jersey and was not fortunate to play in the mountains or nature growing up, so now I'm soaking up every second I can get. I'm a student at the University of Montana studying Environmental Studies, so the environment has become part of my passions. My favorite activities are hiking, photography and star gazing. Exploring the outdoors is my therapy and the mountains truly have changed my life for the better.
